Central has some of the best prices. They also usually have seconds at about 60% of regular cost that are just as good as new. 616-363-4013. I just called for something else and asked for you.

52" x 96" seconds = $136
4' x 8' new = $200

Yeah but sometimes its cheaper to go right to the source. Never hurts to do a little checking around. Building a jeep with no money takes a little planing.

just saw this...

IMHO, central iron is usually overpriced...But, the convenience of being able to walk in and back out 5 minutes later after poking around to make sure there aren't any good deals, its a wash.

If you're looking to get at least a decent size quantity, I'd go to Contractor's Steel - they're on Dormax by 28th & Ivanrest. They have hands down beaten every quote I've ever received from any of the local joints.

They also deliver for a 10-dollar surcharge (you might have to have a min. order though)
