Default Lake Wobegon

Does anybody else want to move there and sit and drink coffee at the chatterbox cafe?

No coffee for me, but I'd join you for a beer at the Side Track Tap.

Heh, I'm with poptart on that one, but I would be afraid of the "talk" at church the next Sunday :tonka:

I have been a Prairie Home Companion Fan since way back. I had a Lake Wobegon Whippets jersey in high school and no one had a clue. That was back when they had cool thank you gifts for supporting public radio

Always wanted to go duck hunting with the brotherhood. And try some lutefisk too.

I once had a cheeseburger that was probably as good as the one that was left on the lunch counter, after his dad found out he stole $5, and came and got him...

Lutefisk is nasty! Even if you can get past the smell, the taste isn't any better.

I want to go watch it Prarie Home Companion live sometime at the Fitz but I'm told that the tickets are pretty much sold out for months in advance. Every year he does a show at the Minn. State Fair, I think I'll go watch him there because the tickets are cheaper and its only like a 4 hr drive.

I've been listening for 30 years or so.
The wife and I catch it as often as possible - usually while aimlessly driving the back roads and two tracks.

Since seeing this thread, I almost forgot about these stories, so I subscribed to the podcasts. This guy can really tell some stories

I wasn't in to this week's broadcast much.
It was cute, but I'm not a really big fan of poetry.

Some are definitely better than others.
I guess I like the more 'redneck' northern Minnesota-esk episodes.
