Default Great news while on vacation!

So I went to Alabama for spring break with my family, the 2nd day there I get the call from my office that my jeep was stolen and ended up 300 feet in Lake Michigan. (It's definitely totalled) Hopefully this link will work and you can read the article.

"Someone noticed the Jeep, thought it obviously looked out of place,"

Well no shit.

Sorry about your Jeep.

Yeah, I agree. I just hate thieves, although from the condition of my jeep they had alot of fun.

Sorry to hear that, I'd be effing pissed.

There's been so much talk of shit being stolen lately, I'm getting kind of leary. I don't have a key to my Jeeps doors, so the doors are always unlocked, and I've not had a problem in a year, and having the doors OFF all summer with no issue, but man...

This type of thing usually does'nt happen here very often either. I've been in business since 97 and it's the first time. 38 other cars at my dealership and they have to take my toy!

For the time being, it definately sucks to be you. Hope you have insurance. Though, in this instance isn't the dealership/auto shop partially responsible? As in, providing a secure lot while you're vehicle is in their care?

that's kind of funny, but sucks for you. I have to say though, in the video it looks like it was a pretty nice XJ.

Meanwhile, the sheriff's department is looking for at least two men they believe are responsible. "Someone that knew Jeeps, because they knew exactly how to pop the ignition and the shifter as well," says Purchase.
Okay, who are you looking for and what are their handles here?

There's crime in Beulah?!?! I grew up there on platte lake and we never locked up anything, or even shut the doors when we weren't there.

That really sucks. In a community like that small, I'm sure they will get caught. They probably already know who they are looking for; I just hope they can prove it.

It does look like they had fun though. Jumping it into the water??
