Default Another deer hunting question

What do you use for deer hunting

I used to use a bow but cant Might be using a cross bow if I get the ok from the dr

Gun season I use a 12gauge ultra slug and lightfields or a .50 cal muzzle loader .100 grains of triple 7 and 295 grain shockwave

I have always wanted to hunt deer above the rifle line and If I did I would Use a .270 165 grain or a 30-06

I'll be using a 2008 Bowtech Allegiance basically all year round . Like the challenge of archery. I might bust out the 12 gauge during gun season if I'm at my buddies place up north where there's more room for longer shots.

My favorite is my supressed remington bolt action in 308 with the gen 3 night vision with the infared assist. It's perfect for early bow late rifle mid summer mid night.

Onidea Strike Eagle @ 60lbs, Remington 870sp with 3" mag slugs, or 44 Dan Wesson with a scope for the lower, 45-70 Marlin or 30-06 Winchester mod 70 180 grain partitions

Hoyt Razortech. I may use a longbow for early season this year, it depends on how the practice goes.

30.06 is the most versatile round, in my opinion. The .270 is a nice flat shooting round that if fine for Michigan whitetail.

I just sold my Remington muzzle loader and am getting a H&R top break muzzleloader, .50 caliber.

My father lives in northern Michigan and is a die-hard hunter; he now uses a cross bow. He was dead set against people using cross bows, even handicapped. We used to discuss it all the time, I think handicapped should be able to use one. He fell off a 10' ladder a few years ago and his scapula cut through all the muscles and tendons in his shoulder. He lost 85% use of his left arm. He sure changed his opinion. He says all the time how he would be going crazy if he couldn't get out into the woods and hunt during bow season. I don't think everyone should be out there with a crossbow, but handicapped should be able to use one.

I Use A $50 Mossberg 12 Gauge With A $150 Rifled Barrel W/ 2 3/4 Hornady Sabots. Guns Cheap As Hell But Is Deadly Accuarate. Just Check Out My Avatar And You'll See Some Of My Handy Work. (9 Pointer). As For Bows. Its Pretty Hard To Beat A Bowtech. I Shoot A Tribute. Bowtechs Are Smooth, Fast, And Very Quiet. And They Are About $100 Less Than A Mathews.

I'll be using my Matthews Switchback for most of the season. Can't wait to go elk hunting with it. I gotta make some changes though, hunting in ID is a lot different then hunting in MI! If anyone is using 100gr G5 tekken's I have 3 brand new ones I'll sell ya for a great deal since they are not legal out here! Then I gotta take the light off my sight and get my arrows weighed, they have to be 300gr or more!

Remington 700 BDL Classic chambered with 300 Weatherby Mag. What a great gun. Maybe a bit much for deer hunting in Michigan though.

top gun is my winchester model 70 in 7mm rem mag. i shoot 175 grain swift a frames with 68.5 grains of powder behind it, good for 2937fps/3350lbs of energy at the muzzle. the bottom rifle is my newest hunting rifle. its a sporterized mosin nagant, ots getting a rocksolid scopemount, a barska 6.5x18x50 scope, and a bent bolt. i am still waiting for my brass before i can load any 7.62x54r.
