Default For the Homo Phobic republicans on this site

http://scienceblogs.com/dispatches/2...ed_by_homo.php

Quote:
The authors investigated the role of homosexual arousal in exclusively heterosexual men who admitted negative affect toward homosexual individuals. Participants consisted of a group of homophobic men (n = 35) and a group of nonhomophobic men (n = 29); they were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia (W. W. Hudson & W. A. Ricketts, 1980). The men were exposed to sexually explicit erotic stimuli consisting of heterosexual, male homosexual, and lesbian videotapes, and changes in penile circumference were monitored. They also completed an Aggression Questionnaire (A. H. Buss & M. Perry, 1992). Both groups exhibited increases in penile circumference to the heterosexual and female homosexual videos. Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression. Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies.

There is a difference between homophobic and disliking gays.

Why ya gotta group homophobia with , or conservatives for that matter...? Just because we don't want to have to pay to supply gay friendly lunches along with straight lunches in the school food programs doesn't mean we're homophobic

Either way, this study seems a little ghey. :tonka:

x2.

I think the term homophobic is overused and applied towards heterosexual men who just plain don't like fags.

I like gay guys. Have you seen a good % of them. They are in way better shape than I and I dont need that kind of competition. A good looking guy wants to put a penis in his mouth? Great. I dont have to try so hard to pick up a girl. Just my 2 pennies.
BTW, I am a republican.

personally the homophobic or general hate for gay men women, whatever by heterosexual males is such a public announcement that makes themselves appear gay. I could care less. I simply do not care if a guy, girl, dog, cat, whatever is effin gay. I intend to waste ZERO amount of time putting down gays in public or to affirm "my status in the male clique".

like anything poking (no pun intended) fun in gest is one thing. blathering on about how they *&$%^ gays and whatnot. Gay. grow up.

then there will be those that chime back saying "you don't know how that this one time this fag at a bar was hitting on me......" blah, blah, blah. I am sure whomever says that has been dumped by a girl and you don't all of a sudden hate women forever. I am also pretty sure those same individuals aren't going to lie on their deathbed saying "I am so glad I hated and bashed gays. what a productive life."

to the proprietor, the comments they sound tough and manly. I see it as a giant fascade making said individual look like a bafoon. some people are gay. get on with your life. if you are that destine to hate the gays in your naziesqe fashion, go to washington and become a politician as they seem to enjoy wasting time on this subject.
