Okay... so I tried to donate platelets..... they didnt have the machine there, but I can go to a regular redcross center and do it after 56 days. I said okay, fine I'll just donate 2 units of Red blood cells instead. Oh, sorry miss you have to weigh 170lbs to do that... okay fine, ill just go with the regular 1 unit of RBCs..... okay come right over here...the guy blew out my vein with a 16ga needle... THANKS GUY.... and since a week ago I got hydrated intravenously I still had a mark on my other arm, so Ive now got 2 bruised arms and didnt get to donate try again in 56 days.....

I go to Biolife, it's a company that just does plasma collection. Most of the techs are great, barely even feel them put the needle in. About a month ago I was lucky enough to get a newbie, first day working she blew my vein and, then I could donate till the bruising went a way. The nurses said they had never seen it look that bad before!! LOL Should have take a pic of my arm. My bicep and one side of my forearm were almost black. It hurt to move my arm for the first week. I got to be in her section on Monday, I asked for one of the trainers to stick me. She looked kinda pissed!! LOL

So what you're saying is, spending time on your back is a periodic requirement?
