well I am for it. with the exception of the TJ most units from jeep were re-branded, over-engineered kraut garbage. IMO it was the krauts whole purpose to eventually destroy the brand that kicked their asses and have their vendetta fulfilled. but that too somewhat failed.

GM will make them all service department rated

I guess it all really doesn't matter anyway, the last real Jeep was the CJ. Everything made since that point had somewhat of a concern for comfort & ride .

Was it the skunk works commander?

The JTE/PROC shutdown has been a long time coming. It doesn't make sense to maintain too many separate engineering sites when they already have the CTC megacomplex. With all the layoffs and outsourcing, they're going to have plenty of extra space in those suites.

Expect more changes, like Chrysler Financial to be sold, or at the least, its operations to be even further cut off from the rest of Chrysler.

There's also likely going to be other changes on the engineering front that I probably shouldn't mention.

Jeep is the Last thing Gm needs to Buy, didn't they axe a division a while ago because they had too many brands competing and a ruined image.

Now that SUV's are becoming socially unacceptable, and really all they would do is compete with Hummer and other GM products, It would only Make since to Bob Lutz and rick wagoneer to buy Jeep, when they barely have enough money to survive.

i call BS, and still think we going to all be rushing to the dealer to get the limited edition General Tso Wrangler

I'd expect something more along the lines of a Curry Wrangler. That or whatever the hell they eat in Dubai.

I figured I don't have a zook anymore ... just 3 jeeps ... so I better fix it!

Too bad I am 6' tall, otherwise I might have kept it!

The FJ had a decent IFS on it. 19" of travel! Not too shabby! But still a PITA to lift, modify, 1/2 shafts suck, etc...

x2...You gotta see the Arctic AEV Expedition Commander before you judge. Apparently it is very capable and was used for its purpose.
