Chrysler might as well pack up and go home if that's true. The Jeep pulled them through the K-Car era.. :tonka:

Didn't AMC still own Jeep during the K-car era?

They must really like those grilles.

Speaking of grilles, I thought it was pretty funny to walk into Golling Jeep in Bloomfield Hills one day and see a Ford parked in their showroom. :tonka:

The only way I can see GM buying Jeep is to dismantle it, and make it part of their Hummer Division. Competition is good, but not usually within your own company.

K-car era started in the early 80s, they acquired AMC around 1987. But, in my opinion, Chrysler failed to follow the market and had some really poor selling vehicles around that time. If not for Jeep, we may have been bailing them out again.

Like I said though, just my personal thoughts.. I dunno..

Chrysler is scheduled to have some kind of organizational roll-out on Monday morning. With the way they have been moving all the Jeep people out of JTE and up to CTC, perhaps something is going on. I was at JTE on Wednesday and the silence thoughout the building is creepy.

I work at IAC, but my first job out of college was with QMC. Then I went to EAI, which got purchased by UGS, which in turn was taken private again by EDS. :tonka:
