How horrible ? My 99 1/2 ton only gets about 12mpg anymore.
if i can get that i might as well have heayy duty.
I think U.S. fuel is #$%& 'd up. i got better mpg in Ontario last week, thru worse terrain.

I have a 2005HD CrewCab 4x4, 6.0L, and I get 12 MPG hauling or not hauling all day long. This truck is a very strong pulling machine. If I sold it I would need $25,000.00 for it though, a bit more than your willing to spend but a very very nice truck.

I have an 02' 4x4 ext cab short bed that has a 6.0 and I average about 12.5 to 13.5mpg towing or not. It has been a good truck, I can't complain.

How bout a 2000 GMC 2500 Sierra extended cab 8 ft bed. This would be the same chassis and GVWR as a 1500HD. Only 87k miles? I am not sure I want to sell though, I sure can't afford to replace it. After all, this one's paid for..... But I really need a crew cab. Let me think about it some more....

This is the later 4-door extended cab body style, but before the latest "squared" look.
