Default Silver Lake Rules Question

hey, so i have never been to silver lake and i just bought a lifted dodge ram 4x4. I have been reading up on the silver lake rules and the first thing that it is says is that a muffler with baffles is required. the other rule that im worried about is that it says there is a 94 db limit. i have dual exhausts there is a cat but no muffler. my question is how strict are they with these restrictions cause i know that my truck does not meet either of those two requirements.

thanks scott

Last time I was up there there wasa Dodge that was extremely loud and sounded like crap. It wasn't that big loud "growl", just very very loud, well somehow it got in so I imagine you will too.

I had straight pipes right off the header with my CJ and they didnt give me a problem. I was a bit worried that they were going to check, so I brought some cheap mufflers and ubolts to through on just in case.

As long as you take it esay through the gate they probably won't harass you. I've never had them test my jeeps or trucks, but my buddies on there quads get checked all the time.

that was probably at WOT....as long as your not hot doggin it through the parking lot and gate, you will be fine.....specially in the summer, mostly high school and college kids that work the check points, and they really dont care at 6 bucks an hour

When I went up there the kid at the gate looked like he wasn't much older than 12.

While everyone is talking about this, do you think they would let a deuce and a half in, they have no muffler, just a straight pipe from the turbo?
Also is there a maximum width for a vehicle at silver lake.

turbos usually count as spark arrestors

Was it 122 dB at 20 inches from the pipe, running at 2500 RPM? Those are the testing conditions they use. If so, damn thats loud. Bring mufflers just in case.

I vote for taking it easy through the gates and up the entrance, you should be fine. Keep it in 4 high just to be sure, so you don't have to get on it in the softer parts.
