Yeah thinking about it however I didn't say that I commute with two other co-workers so that offsets the cost of the drive. It's just the time that is a PIA...

7 Miles @ ~17 mpg

~ $4 / day for me
~ $5 / day for Mis

~ $270 to $300 / month out of our budget if we dont go anywhere but work

I put it at the back of my mind.....

26 mpg
140 miles a day = too much.... something around 15-20 bucks a day.

Unless I drive my truck then its about $50 a day.

Good thing I'm moving so my commute is only about 20 miles a day

Hopefully this isn't a thread about your carring because I thought you were loaded . . . o well that's what you say ever chance you get.

My cost has been reduced thanks to switching to the motorcycle

Drew have you driven the Powerstroke to work much, at least enough to figure out its mileage?

My cost has been reduced quite a big thanks to switching to the motorcycle

Truck 55 miles round trip at 15mpg with Diesel at $4.00 = $14.67/day or $73.35/week

Motorcycle 55 miles round trip at 48mpg with gas at 3.14 = $3.60/day or $18.00/week

Total savings of $55.35/week

The 'Stroke is getting a new exhaust and chip and seafoam so hopefully the mpg's will bump a bit on it.

I just filled up yesterday at $48.00 for 14.7 gallons. I reset the trip odometer which was at 204 miles. That's 13.8 MPG in a 2005 TJ. I drive 40 miles round trip...so I pay ~ $10.00/day from Royal Oak to Dearborn and back.

Seems with the 7.3L you should be getting better mileage.

That's what I thought as well

My pile of rust in the FS section that no one wants with the 7.3L was netting me 20mpgs

I spend $10 a day just to get to and from work. That's not nearly enough to make me look for a job closer to where i live.

You being a so-called Christian has no bearing on why I hate you. I hate you because you are an intolerable asshole.

[treehuggerish] Its not about how much you spend, its about how much you waste living far from work and driving an inefficient vehicle. If we all act together we can save millions of gallons of fuel[/treehuggerish]
