Thanks Smiley23!

Im the guy in Monroe with the 400ex for sale that he is talking about.

It is a 2000 model, as far as performance, it has a White Bros E-series pipe, jetted, k&n filter, and the guy I bought it from claimed it has a wiseco 440 big bore kit installed, but I couldnt tell you if that is true or not.

It also has aftermarket fenders on it (which dont fit very well...just being honest), pro-taper handle bars, pro-taper nerf bars, dirt track tires on douglas wheels, and sand paddles on douglas wheels. The quad runs good...it has a pretty weak battery, but the quad is 8 years old....so thats not much to complain about. And also the starter button on the handle bar is broken. It still works, but the button itself was broken off when I bought it…you just have to push in a littler harder, the internals are still there…but the actual button that stuck out before is gone. You can get the whole new assembly off of ebay for around $50 I believe.

It is exactly how I bought it last summer...the only thing I have done was rattle-bombed the frame. The guy I bought it from stored it outside, so the frame had a little rust on it. I planned on stripping it down over the winter and powdercoating the frame, and buying new plastics...but I kinda lost interest in the project, so I just powerwashed off all of the loose paint/rust from the frame and hit it with black rust-proof paint for a temporary fix.

here are a few quick pics:

Dont mind the odd tire/wheel combo, I took the rear paddles off to make it easier to move around the garage.

you can email me or pm me if you have any questions or want some more pictures/info.

best mod is to put a pipe on it and a hi flow air filter such as a uni or k&n next would be a rev box(kinda like a chip in a car) as far as the carb they have a sorta like a 4 barrle carb on a car and are a little picky to adjust but once you get it correct they run like a raped ape .....i would look into a better set of tires and front shocks
i believe that the yzf 450 front shocks are a direct bolt on and ar as good as any aftermarket ones and can be picked up on ebay cheep
