I should take a picture of my wiener.....dogs, they're cute. I've got a big old black lab/german shepard mix too. He's a good ol' boy, a gentle giant with the kids. Boo Bear is gettin' up there in years and he's having the standard issue hip problems of a german shepard. He's not in any pain, his back legs just don't work that great anymore.

We only have six dogs currently.

Gracie and Treacle - Staffordshire Bull Terriers

Gracie and Vivid (3 months old) - Staffordshire Bull Terriers

Swiper - Border Staffy (designer flyball mutt 1/2 Staffy and 1/2 Border Collie)

Swiper running Flyball - He runs 52' over 4 jumps, triggers a box, catches a tennis ball, turns around, then runs back 52' over 4 jumps in 3.8 seconds or less.

Nolan getting ready to run Gracie last summer

Swiper after a rough day...

Widget (Border Staffy mix), Dizzy (Golden), Vivid, and Nolan (kid)

Vivid relaxing under the furnace vent

This is Cheech that belongs to one of the guys on our flyball team. He is a Border Staffy that also runs 3.7 or so and loves Frisbee...

Thanks! As if one expensive hobby wasn't enough... We "had" to buy this so we could fit them all in to travel to tournaments. I should be the guy on the commercial about being in debt up to my eyeballs. :tonka:

Don't people usually just put dogs in the back of the truck?

Now that is what I call spoiling you pets, Melinda would be VERY proud of you

84Scrambler, that's awesome that your dogs run flyball. I always watch it on TV when it's on.

Here's our new little guy, Jackson, a Great Pyrenees.

10 weeks old, absolutely the best puppy I've ever known. He's only peed in the house twice since he was 8 weeks, and is remarkably calm. We've known him since he was born and got first pick of the litter after watching all 10 pups in the litter grow up. Can't wait to take him camping!!

P.S. We're going to have to shave him in the summer. Mohawk what!

My wife was into Flyball before we met. We are training the little pup now for next year. We have a tournament in Davisburg April 12-13 at the 4-H grounds.

Here are the links to the two sanctioning bodies for a better idea of what the sport is about. It is great because any dog can be trained for this. Mixed breeds, rescues, mutts, or pure bred dogs. It would be interesting to see a Great Pyrenees play though. :tonka:

What a cute pup.

I know with huskies you shouldn't shave because they coat actually helps keep them cool too. I'd check with your vet first on shaving him.

Thanks - the breeders (my GF's parents) are both vets. I'll double check, but I think it's OK to do it with a Pyr. They have about 10 of them out on their hobby sheep farm to guard against coyotes.
