Default Another FNG from Monroe

Hey guys, another FNG from the Monroe area. I joined up here a while back, but haven’t really posted here at all…did some reading here for a while, but I didn’t have anything constructive to add…so I kept my mouth shut.

I have seen a little talk about this site over on SLF (silver lake forum) so I decided to come back over and start reading and posting some. I know a few guys I work with are members here too, and are a part of the dirty minds jeep club. I did one outing with them back on 06 to their “Mud Mania” event at the mounds…it was a good time, but a little too muddy for my quads.

Well…I’m not a hardcore wheeler by any means, but I do like to hit the trails and play out in the dunes…Everybody always likes pics, so here is what I use.

First, my tow pig and dune toy:

2004 F-250 6.0 PSD, 8” superlift on 38” Nitto Mud Grapplers.

And here is my quad, this is normally what I ride.

2006 Yamaha wolverine 450 4x4, with hmf pipe, k&n filter, dyno jet carb. jet kit, 07 gray plastics, hauck performance clutch, ITP SS 108 wheels, and gytr skid plates

I wrecked it last year out at the dunes, so here is the before picture when it was stock:

And now after the rebuild:

My girls ride and my work machine:

2006 Yamaha bruin 350 4x4 with warn 2.5 winch, warn trail lights, and a warn plow kit

and my new toy, picked it up last weekend. I cant wait to hit some trails and the dunes on this thing.

2008 Polaris Ranger RZR 800, 25” ITP Terra Cross tires on 14” ITP SS 112 wheels

Anyway, just thought I would give a little introduction and say Hello. I hope to be an active member on the site, and hopefully do a outings with the club.

Kyle

That's a mighty girlish truck, Kyle!

If I see it in the parking lot at Fermi, I'm gonna have to use it as a parking space. :tonka:

You know I love that beast.

Haha, I thought that may be you Tom... Looking at your biography confirmed it (short, fat, and ugly ) we are definitely going to have to plan a trip to silver lake this year, I will have to run some circles around you in my RZR.

thanks for the welcomes everybody!

The tires are 38"x14.50r16 nitto mud grapplers. Once they wear down some more, I plan on switching to a set of 38x15.50r20 kumho's or Toyo's.

Kyle, Welcome...Nice truck. I am just north of you and can see Fermi in the distance on a clear day from Flat Rock. The red lights and steam rising make it picturesque, however, if it ever explodes, I think I'm up the creek. Any chance of that happening? Seriously...any chance?

Honestly, I'm the wrong person to ask about that. I dont work in the plant, or have anything to do with it. I'm a substation operator, so I just deal with the lines coming out of and going into the plants....not fermi in particular, all of the power plants and substations across the state. Actually, 4x Fanatic would be the person to ask about that...he was a Fermite for a long time.

That is my DD F-150, I bought it used when I was a senior in highschool (2002), and it was a project truck for a while...but I got tired of it sitting in the driveway not moving, so I sold my car and started driving it daily.

It is a 1999 F-150 2wd, these are some older pictures...I took those hideous tail lights out and put the stockers back in, and I took off that huge rear bumper and added a roll pan....the projector headlights have also been swapped out for a set of OEM lightning headlights.

I dont have the 20's on it for the winter, just a set of OEM 18" lightning wheels on nitto terra grapplers.

I didnt post pics of it because it kinda goes against the grain here, not too many lowered 2wd's getting talked about...lol.
