Can u take a good size hole saw to open up the lower portion of the front brace? If your worried about strength ad some steel under and behind the radiator to reinforce the area

I thought about that but the bumper is in front of it. It mounts to the bottom of the cross brace and I made support braces on both sides. It was actually a Chevy truck rad support panel cut down to fit the hole that mounted to the top in stock form.

Put a flap that hangs below the front bumper to scoop air up to the radiator.

I have a few ideas, but some are not good. When it's cold out, it's not a issue. Need to see who makes a rad that don't cost a kings ransom.

Did more looking and it looks like I'll be removing the fan and rad to cut the center out of the lower crossmember for better airflow. I'll move the trans cooler over and make the mounts for the fan since the rad will be out anyway. I would like to find a drain for the lower hose since the rad has no drain. Work up some kind of lower scoop to go under the bumper and move air that way too. The front hitch should provide the extra support when that piece is cut out since it mounts on both sides.

Ahh, the trial and error part continues.

Went to the JCR open house last week. It went fine. There were a lot of "Holy craps" when they saw what was under the hood.

Get a JCR bumper and have them cut a "grill" into it.

An Advance Adapters kit for a CJ that was modified to work on my wreck. Got it from work cheap because the customer just wanted the rubber isolators. I got new ones out of the Trans-dapt book. Cut and modified everything to fit. You seen the result.

Scored a 8.8 today with 4:10 gears and a posi. Won't have to change that. Let the parts pile start. This won't get swapped in until spring, so there is time to get it ready and find more goodies for it.
