It is a strap. He just said that as AJ said a chain is better to use or somthing along those lines. If a chain broke, and hit that guy, he would be fawkd!

atleast thats what I got from it??

a chain on the end of a strap maybe but not just a chain. I find this post lacking sufficient AJ Hall evidence.

No, If I'm using a chain or a strap I use a chain or a strap, but I use them seperately for different things, I don't mix them. I think your bashing of Hall is lacking because you only showed a video of a strap breaking (and maybe a d-ring), but no chain. If you are going to offer up some evidence of a chain breaking on the end of a strap do it, but don't show a strap breaking and go OMG LOOK AT THAT CHAIN BREAK.

yes chains can be used if you know how to use them! But backing up and having a foot of slack than taking off isn't how a chain is used.

anyone here ever use a chain to pull out a vehicle and have it break?

What happens when the chain breaks?

I have broken chains before. By themselves and with a strap. But I want to hear about everyone elses experiences

I know a guy who used one and on his old truck you could make out chain-links on his A pillar on the driver side. Few more inches over it would of been his windshield and his face.

i have broken chain with a loader before while pulling a trailer full of pipe out of the mud. it had sunk down to the axles and the semi couldnt pull it, so we put chains from the loader bucket to the trailer and tried lifting it. one of the chain links came apart and that chain came apart hard. i have also seen a d8 break winch cable that was thicker than my wrist pulling a mud pump, it snapped straight back.
