Around $1.00

2002?

I remember thinking $1.50 was outrageous lol. I could fill up my 1990 Honda Accord for no more than $15 and drive it for more than a week before having to fill it again.

I remember it being around $1 back in the late 80's. But Clark gas station would have all three grades for $.89 on Tuesdays. I always filled my Chevette up with premium.....good for +5hp:tonka:

i remember filling my bronco 2 at a cost of .98/gal. filled the tank for roughly 15 bucks. my blazer was still like 1.10 and about 20 to fill. lowest gas price i've ever seen was i believe .89 a gallon during a short period back in 1998 or so.

I can remember before I started driving my parents were complaining because gas went up to $0.59 a gallon.

I started driving in '91, I think gas was right around $.90 then. It was breaking the $1 mark by the time I got out of high school in '92.

I started buying fuel in 1985 for maybe, high $0.80's and I was making $3.55/hr bagging groceries at the Kroger in Sturgis, MI.

My 1982 Dodge 4x4 pickup had a 225 slant-6 and averaged about 14 mpg.

I remember gasoline for $0.23 when I was growing up in South Bend, IN at the local grocery store (it had a station too)

we bought gas for our boat at the station in 5 gallon cans and brought it home to avoid paying $1.25 at the marina. We'd blow through 10 gallons a day all summer.

Had a Geo Metro xfi in college. for $15 I could fill it up, get a pack of smokes and a 12-pack of shitty beer for the drive.
you can still get a bag of shitty weed for 20.00$ :tonka:

1985, ~75 cents. They still had leaded gas at the pumps also.

I remember when gas topped a dollar and everyone bitched.

I love going to the gas station and needing at least a $100 bill to fill up :tonka:

back in 93 it was probably around a buck, but I do remember around 97 when gas hit a low and I paid the least I've ever paid at $0.76 a gallon. Damn I miss being able to "throw 5 bucks in" and drive for a few days.

I had to look it up... when I was 16 was listed at $1.30 but that was was 1982.

Although I do remember a big deal when I was in college and it was under a buck/gallon for a while.

Even on a trip to Drummond in 2005 I felt raped for $1.67 a gallon.... and that was not that long ago.

$.98/gal in 96. Crossing a buck was big in my mind.

I remember a gas war in the late 60s and two stations got below $0.10 a gallon. I was very young then, my mom was driving and I was standing on the front seat without a safety belt. The good old days.
