unless you paid cash, I dont get the idea of spending more $$ per month on a vehicle and insurance to save $$ on gas. You're new bike saves you 100 bucks a month in gas, but costs you 200. in payments/ins. Netting you a negative 100 a month.

I tried that once and bought a tdi jetta (45-55 mpg) so I didnt have to drive my zj everywhere. After a year I realized it was costing me a bunch more than if I would've just been content w/ driving my paid for v8 zj around getting 14 mpg. I sold the vw and went back to driving the zj everywhere and am way ahead.

This makes me wanna say - if you ever ride, you should get the safety training. My wife and I spent a weekend at Washtenaw CC and had a blast taking the class. Learn a lot of things you wouldn't think of otherwise.

Good answer, So lets all give in and go with the flow.
Sounds like sheep to me.

I hope diesel goes to $10.00 a gallon because every time it goes up I pass that cost plus a big ass profit on to everbody else.

I was kinda thinking if you wanted an on road off road bike you would get a sportster and take off the fenders and put knobbys on it.

Every time you drive on a road, pull in a parking lot, go to a Home Depot, flush a toilet, get a drink of water, Buy food at a Kroger, get coffee at a Starbucks, Bear claw, Tim Hortons, play ball in Midland, or a ton of other things, some of which I know you do you contribute to that big ass profit to me. Sorry, but I don't mind
The last time I saw the potential for the amount of money I see comming to me like I see this year was in 1980.

Specifically to you. Next time your on Warren west of Sheldon look on the north side of the street at the bullshit wetland that I got paid to build. Your tax money hard at work, giving me my big ass profit. Canton DPW building, both Home Depots in Canton, The K mart where Ikea is now, maybe even your house or apartment.

It sucks but thats the way it is.

Doesn't suck, Mr. Toes - somebody has to take that money!

Speaking of taxes around this hole, my latest assesment knocked $19,400 off my SEV. Sorry for the pay cut.

Yeah, that's what I've heard too, about learning what you don't think about. I'll take it when I eventually get a (running) bike.

Mine went down as well, but they raised the taxable value to compensate so just like Jen said two years ago your property value will go down but you will pay more tax. Then to add insult to injury she said get used to it.

No pay cut to me I just make it up somewhere else.

We need a true Revolution. I will be king if it comes to that just to protect everybody.

Well, BDR posted; I can go to bed now.

Sorry for cluttering up your thread Mike. I looked for a picture that had vans, KLRs and boobies to make up for it, but I couldn't find anything.

I agree that if he was doing just to save on gas, and if he didn't pay cash, then financially it probably wouldn't make sense, although without knowing how far he drives to work and what his alternative transportation is it's impossible to know.

However since he says it's something he always wanted by your numbers he's getting something he always wanted for $100 a month that would have cost him $200.
