Yeah, Japan has a lot to do with gas prices, and Buell, Polaris, and Harley have a great DS selection.

Nice, ballsy bike. Bit of a wheelie monster though.

very cool bike. if i can get a job soon, hopefully this summer I'd like to get a Harley Nightster. For me that would be a perfect sized bike, plus it looks awesome.

Looks awesome, but I can tell you from experience Harleys do not get good gas mileage.
You might get 35MPG from any Sporty derivative. Big Twins get maybe 30MPG.

My FLHT is getting 28MPG highway.

Ya know a few years ago I would have agreed with your statement. But for the last few years the big 3 have been giving incentives to suppliers that build plants in China. And if you looked at where up to 95% of the supplied parts of any big 3 vehicles are produce you will notice its NOT in the U.S. It's a complete total freakin shame!

But wait as soon as the dollar falls another 30% and fuel cost increase another 25% jobs will come back here. Then we'll all go back to work for shit pay.

Sweet. Did you know there is a company that slaps a different head on that bike and sells it as a 105 mpg diesel?

My Sporty gets high 40's. I just picked up an FLHXI, I'm curious how that will do, but from the couple of folks I know that own Electraglides they get 40-42 mpg.

My 68 Sporty had an ex-drag bike motor, and the FLHT has the 100 cu in kit and Edelbrock heads, 42mm mikuni, thunderheader, etc.....

And I beat on them.

Sorry to hijack the thread, guess everybody gets more mpg from Harleys than I do.
