Default Flint Journal article on mounds ownership

Should be an article in paper tonight on the Mounds. I think it has more to do with the buffer property out in the north east corner where the Rock Crawl will be built. Can someone scan it and post it up please.

""Theoretically, the sale of the land to a private individual could throw a wrench into the Mounds' future as an ORV park. Another risk: The state could agree to sell it to the county -- but for a lot more than the county is willing or able to pay.""

I bet the state is gunna try to sell that property for high dollar to the county, like the paper said, probley more than they are able to pay for it. I hope it all works out for the best. That would suck if the Mounds had to close, or got smaller.

Rockstar: Nevada is tha' bomb!!!
That is public land heaven, I vacationed in Lovelock-Tahoe-Topaz-Reno for six months last year. You need to visit White Mountain Research Center.

With all the people on this board I'm surprised no one has suggested buy auctioned DNR land "collectively", like a Co-Op.

Fundamentally buying the land would be the easy part. Zoning issues and neighborhood NIMB groups (not in my backyard) have stopped every development that has been tried in Michigan.
