I think i am just going to run some tail pipe from the cherries and go straight back. should be sufficent enough, i would drive it as is but its too loud.
How difficult is it to replace the steering gear box??

Let me know if you need a hand, I might be in the garage most of today as well. But if you break bolts, I've got a welder and some nuts we can weld on to get broken bolts out(which could very well happen)

As for the power steering fluid, what I've heard is that after you install the box, you just put fluid in the reservoir and fire her up and turn the wheel back and forth until it gets low, and add some more, and repeat until the fluid stays at the same level, meaning the steering box is full.

Well just let me know, I'm not totally sure of my plans yet, but you can use my electric impact, that should speed things up a little. Just give me a call if you get stuck and need a hand, just so you know, Ben's a pretty good helper.

Not sure if it has one, i havent checked yet, i will today.
Got the gearbox off, it could very well be tthe most annoying thing i have ever done.
my problem now is getting the new gearbox.
if i was to get one from someone parting out a vehicle, what models would work?

on jeffs broncograveyard the power steering box they list(the only one they list) is for 80-96 broncos and f 150s, so pretty much any bronco or 150 thats even close to your year should work

Just got a check in the mail, off to autozone to get the gearbox now, their price is cheaper than murrays. then i get to put the new one in, in the snow.
Next up, tailpipes.

he was gone the whole time i was working on it, i managed to get it most of it hooked up, but the pitman arm was giving me trouble. right now its 1/2 way on the box, with 1 bolt holding it to the frame, but the steering shaft ic connected. i am going to take off the pitman arm, put the other 2 bolts into the box, then put the top part of the pitman arm onto the box, then hook up the bottom of the arm. thats my plan and hopefully it will work.
