Default Straight Axle...sploder?

Has anyone done a straight axle on a ranger, explorer? If so what did you use? axle, transfer case..anything else special

It's a pretty common practice on Explorer Off road Enthusiats. Most use a D44 like mentioned above. You can also use a D30, D60....What ever. Explorerforum.com Is also A Helpful Place.

Jeep d30 is the easiest swap ive heard of.

PM Bronco Sally and Offroad86b2. They have both done the axle swaps. Ive seen it and it looks easy.

i did a coil sprung Full width on my B2 using a 77 F150 D44

i am finishing up redoing it on my B2 with a narrowed F150 D44 to EB width and going leaf sprung.

Just search my pics on photobucket, all kinds of both set-up

The easiest way i have seen etc....is using a EB D44 cause the Coil buckets are real close to lineing up with stock and everything is real close to fitting. But keep in mind of the bolt pattern on the rims
