Default My TJ is soooo fast.

I installed a Banks catback and K&N FIPK yesterday. My TJ is so fast, I can't believe. It feels like it's running the 1/4 mile in under 12 seconds. I'll be regearing it soon, from 3.73 to 4.56. I should be in the high 10s or low 11s at that point.

Installing a tornado intake will put you well into the 9's...use caution, this modification is only for professional drivers.

All bullshitting aside, I really don't notice much difference. But the chrome exhast tip with the Banks logo looks kinda bling. I was gonna leave the tip off, but the interior noise was a bit excessive without the turndown. Now it's not much louder than stock unless I hit the throttle. The XJ with a Flowmaster 40 was alot louder, especially at idle.

The intake was a bit louder when I first installed it yesterday morning, but after installing the exhasut in the afternoon the intake noise is not noticable over the exhaust.

I can hook you up with a chute. With those times you'll need it.

I was on 33's and 3:73s before; Jeep got great milage, and could be driven way faster than it legally should have been. When I decided to do lockers, the front being 3:73 was fine, as this was the first ratio for the next gear bracket in lockers. The rear being 3:73 was the top notch in the bottom selection of locker, meaning that if I ever went to bigger tires and re-geared, I'd need to replace the rear locker. Since I didn't want to do that, I went to 35's and 4:56s. I love the way the 35's look and perform, but the gas mileage went to hell in a hand basket, and the top end is drastically diminished. I had the 35's on with 3:73s for a few days while I was waiting for the rest of my parts to ship, and it was friggen pig with that gearing; the 4:56s helped it get it's ass moving again, but with trade-offs. Unless you're planning to go bigger on the tires too, I would not change the gearing, as you're in a sweet spot right now.
