Swap meets?

I got a brand new set of M&H Racemaster G50-14's with a van I bought- they were stored in his garage for 20 years.

Oldest tires I have are some Formula 1's from when I was in High School.....still don't know why I kept them....

My CJ had a set of Armstrong Xtra trac's on it, like 32x12-15 with tread similar to those powercraps. They were dry rotted as hell but still held air. Probably from the 70s or something. I had more than one person call me out asking if they were selling them again or where I had gotten them.

He picked the tires up from a cherokee that was being parted out. He said they where working pretty well for him all day but even at 15 psi he still managed to roll the tire off the bead. He wasn't sure how he did it but after i looked at it and reseated it i noticed some small gouges around the bead, must have jammed a stick or root in there

Way, way back in the day (1976) Armstrong was Dick Cepek's hardcore tire. A lot of folks swore by them.

Amazingly, I found that Power Cats were once sold new. Here's an ad from 1984.

I'm trying to make sure that GL4x4 stays *THE* internet resource for power cat tires.
