Default Cellular phone service?

Who do you use and how do you like their service?

We currently have Nextel and plan on switching to something new and less expensive.

I have alltel. it's an old plan but I have 1300 minutes for 40 a month. all the voicemail and everything is extra though so i end up paying around 65 a month with all the extras. I don't think they have that plan anymore, but I've been looking for something different and I can't seem to find anything that is as cheap and as good as alltel. Alltels phone selections sucks though.

Sprint since like 2003. Auto-billed to a credit card. I don't fukc with it and it doesn't fukc up. I check plans once in a while just to make sure that something that fits better hasn't come out (because those fuckers won't tell you).

Sprint. Service everywhere, and if not, the roaming is free.

I'd go with verizon. All the dead spots on milford road aren't dead spots with verizon. But only if your phone is new. It seems that every time my phone gets more then a year old the service SUX.

To the person with shitty verizon service have you ever updated your roaming?
Updating Preferred Roaming List(PRL)

Verizon Wireless is constantly advancing its roaming technology to provide you with superior roaming capabilities. By updating your PRL every few weeks, you can be sure you have access to our enhancements. As a result you may experience:

Longer battery life
Fewer dropped or blocked calls
Clear, crisp connections in more areas across the United States
Ability to connect to the digital network in more parts of the country
Instructions for updating your PRL:
Power on your phone within any Verizon Wireless digital service area.
Dial *228 and then press SEND (this call is airtime free).
When prompted, press option 2 to update your phone's roaming capabilities
(the update may take up to 2 minutes).
Once completed, a confirmation message will appear to inform you that your phone has been re-programmed with the new PRL.

Becky and I have Verizon. I like the service and I like dealing with them over the phone. In the stores not so much but online and phone service is great.

To anyone with bad verizon service if you have a motorola razr phone, its the phone, not the service. I have had such bad luck with the razr and verizon that I have gone thru 4 phones in a 2 year contract, and I could always stand side by side with another non razr verizon phone and it would have more signal than me. I finally had a cs rep admit they hear about this problem alot.

So my suggestion is get a verizon , but get a quality phone, not one of the cheap or free razrs, they are hit or miss.

Have had Alltel through since the original company was Cellular 1 and they have never let me down. Vary rarely if ever loose service and they have decent plans. As for their selection of phones I have only dealt with the company store and they seam to have a good variety of phones to me. But then again I'm old so what do I know.:gman:

X2. I just did the same thing about a month ago.

I had no complaints with my cingular/att until I ran it over and the phone was trashed and the customer service fuckers gave me fits.

So I switched to Verizon. I didnt realize how many areas that I wasnt getting service that I should have been....I still have my dead spots, but its much better then the cingular/att

I do miss the rolloever minutes though
