You know I'll be there. I am registering tomorrow. This will be my 6th also. I'll have some for you. Unfortunately, no cherries this year. I'm going out the Sunday before, going to Chicago first to see Buffett on the 5th and then going straight to CJ.

How many trail rides do they let you sign up for in advance. Which ones did you sign up for?

There was a HUGE mess with my registration. So I did not get to sign up for any yet.

Did you get to sign up for any?

The story made short:
Camp Jeep and the Chrysler people who put this on really let me down, I almost decided not to go. From very poor treatment and BS runaround game I got! IT took almost 3 weeks and 5 different people to help me. Many unreturned phone calls and passing the hot potato! Jeep needs to really reconsider the type of people they hire to handle events like this!

I think all of them have their heads up each others rear-ends. It was out of control and out of hand. And never offered even an apology for all the junk they put me through. It was complete crap, thankful I know better and this was not my first time going. But that almost makes it worse that they would treat someone who goes to these events and jamborees often like they treated me.

Whatever, enough of all that

I'll take a sparks now! lol. And I'll work on the cherries! I'll come up with something :-)

They told me that I couldn't sign up for any events/trail rides yet as they did not have that set up yet but did let me register for the camp itself. Did they let you sign up for anything?

I have the people riding in my jeep kick in some $$$ to offset the cost. Beer is not allowed at Camp Jeep itself, but is required to set foot onto my campsite.

$345 + week away from home and work = worth it

I took the family once to Virginia Camp Jeep. It is a bit of $$, but a great time. They have top-notch concert (Leann Rhymes the year I went, back when her career was hot). They have all sorts of great family activities like mountain biking, hiking, tubing, rock climbing. At the end of the week they sell off all the bicycles and gear CHEAP so they don't have to transport it back. We bought our son a Jeep mountain bike at 1/2 price after it had only been used 3 days for tours. They have a huge vendor tent and a great Jeep auto show with some very nice rigs. I got a great picture of my son sitting in the Fire Ant Jeep (Currie) along side John. The wheeling sucked when I went though. Not very challenging for built rigs.

All in all, if you have a young family I would say go at least once in your life. Worth the $$.

I have been to a jeep jamboree (Palo Duro, TX) and Camp Jeep for the past 6 yrs. Camp Jeep is well worth the money a A LOT cheaper than a jamboree.

Yes must have to camp with us!

Joe is taking the ferry roundtrip. Think I will do it on the way back only.

Chris (young ford guy :tonka: ) and I are leaving maybe Monday after work, partying in Chi-town for that night and then heading up early Tuesday morning!

Joe booked his trails yesterday, I just did all mine today. Have one on the first day at 1pm #5 I think and on the second day #3 at 7am. Great way to start my birthday morning!

Joe was saying we should get some t-shirts made for the official
"Camp Jeep Drinking Team" I have a friend that makes t-shirts...not a bad idea! lol, and fitting! Chris is coming with me, and Joe has his friend Jim coming along. Mudqueen and Candice should be there again as well.

This is gonna be a great year!

Chris and I will be there Tuesday afternoon to start partying early!

I'm up for shirts, let me know the cost and I'll ask people around this way. I registered for trail 3 at 1pm the first day and trail 2 the second day at 1pm. Figured I'd try the intermediate first and then the difficult...we'll see. Those early starts to the day usually don't suit me to well, sometimes I'm not sure I should be driving in the morning still!

Lovemud, hey, I don't have my VIN handy but was visiting the camp jeep site. Is it just $345.00 per vehicle? I know that the Jeep Jamboree is about a rip off. I would be bringing ther wife and kids with me and am looking at a ballpark of expenses. Their webiste is pretty vague without vin, ect....

Yes, the $345 covers everyone in your vehicle. As long as there is a seatbelt for them, that price covers them.

O'RLY! Well, I'll have to talk to the wife about it. I won't be able to do drummond if we do this though. Which is better? You all are camping out in tents? How much is it per night for the campsights? Are alll the activities in these villages included in the $345.00 price? Do you really do alot of good wheeling? Sorry about the 20 questions, but the more info I have the easier it is to sell to the wife.
