Default God, FTD is the suck

So yeah, we all know what today is. I order flowers on the 2nd specifying today as the delivery date same as I've done the last two years. Only problem is eBay owns FTD now if you didn't know and instead of dispatching to local florists for delivery they ship them by whatever carrier they can get for you. Mine went fedex. Got the tracking number yesterday and all it had was billing info received. Got in today and its showing arrive at fedex location in Chicago this morning. Estimated delivery is tomorrow. For FUCKS sake.

Nothing says "OOPS! I forgot about Valentine's Day" better than flowers on the 15th.

Or so your wife will think.

I can hear it now. "Well you should have ordered them sooner. You always wait until the last minute to do these things."

Should have went with proflowers.com... Ordered Tuesday, didn't want to pay for guaranteed delivery on the 14th because of cost. They were delivered to my wife on Wednesday without a hitch. I was a superstar for getting them there early which really surprised her.

What happened when you called and bitched?

Why does everyone use a service like that instead of calling a local florist?

try calling them. the talk to a human option dumps you out to a hangup

email gives you the "we got 2 days to reply" auto response.

FTD used to dispatch to a local florist.

we've used 1800flowers.com for out of state, and across state flowers for things such as new baby's, birthdays and funerals several times in the past 3-4 years with never a hitch.

I bet you $10 if you start using the same local florist for every occasion you buy flowers you will never have this happen.

This is a time when the service is worth paying for, because late is worthless.

Why not call a florist that is local and not deal with any of that? Or go to the store and buy them yourself.

a) the local florist I used to work for in highschool doing deliveries for is no longer in business.

b) the majority of my flower delivery needs have been outside of a typical local florist's delivery area as it sounds like for Lotho's. It's highly probable that I'm mistaken but it sounded like he was having flowers delivered to his wife in Chicago?

For some reason, there's only 3 florists that deliver in the area she works. I tried 2 of them before and they were absolutely horrid product. The third was a snotty bitch on the phone so I said F'it.

I'd deliver them myself, but given her office they can ID me in the parking lot and I kinda like it being a surprise a little bit.

As for buying myself. I'm going to have to for today even though I've already paid for another set. Oh well, cost a little more in the end.

You should use a teleflora florist. They always bring nice flowers.
