I had one on my 95 S10. It didn't look bad at all. I Got Compliments on it when I first put it in.

I agree, How do you come up with that? They are perfectly safe, if they are made properly (I.E. Perf. Acc.). Then there are idiots who make their own out of wood Or Really use hockey pucks. Those are the guys that Give Body lifts a Bad name. If done Correctly, they are perfectly safe.
You just raised a bunch of weight off the frame, there is now more torque on the mounts for when you make sudden stops, get in an accident, etc.


as a general rule its best to avoid them, but 2" isn't bad, its pretty much anything 3" and over when the problems will start to really show.

Sorry dude, you can believe that crap if you want, but a 3'' body lift is not going to cause any problems when you stop. In most cases a properly installed body lift will be safer than the same amount of suspension lift because the handling will remain very close to stock. When a customer tells me that they want to run bigger tires just for looks, I recommend a body lift every time.
