Default How are the Roads/ US-23 Grand Blanc - AA?

Anyone been on US 23 between Grand Blanc and A2 since the snow started today? I have something I should go to down there tonight but it looks pretty snowy out and I don't want to risk it if the roads are bad...

Thanks...

The salt shortage is due to issues with rail deliveries and the fact that the lakes are frozen over. Salt usually gets to the great lakes via lake vessels. Hardware stores and home improvement places are having trouble getting deliveries as well.

hmmm, I heard about it before and after the new state budget... that a lot of the applications where they were going to salt was going to replaced with sand, due to costs...

I've already noticed this. North Territorial/ Pontiac Trail is using nothing but sand these days. I like it. I can go faster in the snow now

Yeah, detroit river has been freezing over, so they can't get the salt barges up to unload.

There's a big article at detnews.com about it. Prices are going up, deliveries are stopping, etc.
