Exclamation WCSX Stone Soup 2008 - Candidate list now published!

I submitted my 65 Wagoneer to WCSX's morning show as a donation candidate for the 08 Stone Soup project on behalf of GL.

Make it happen!

Here's the link to the Morning Show Stone Soup page. My posting should show up after Moderator approval and I already sent pictures to the morning show and Producer's email.

I have a 1965 Jeep Wagoneer (327 AMC, not Chevy) that I would consider donating. I have a second truck for parts with the same motor, too. The Jeep hobby/parts network in huge in Michigan and I bet one of the major Boards in the state would probably get behind the effort, such as GreatLakes4×4.com (based right in Oakland County). I’m emailing a couple pics to the morning show address.

Good luck on this PP,...............I love that rig. It kind of has a Grandma/Sleeper/Off-road thing going on.

I just added my .02 dollars to their sight!

It sits low. I envision it with large diameter billet rims and wide, low-profile tires.

Its really going to come down to what they want to deal with. I can't seem to find much in the way of photo-documentation of what they have started out with in the past.

I did find a few pics of past projects which indicate that everything pretty much goes through an thorough frame-off. I don't think the Wagoneer will be a problem for them - especially with the local parts resource that GL alone represents, nevermind places like IFSJA, etc.

don't get me wrong, I love hotrods, muscle cars, etc.. but I am a 4x4 person. the only major problem I see is them caving to pressure to do something like a chevelle or another vehicle that has been done 2.37894.021 billion times. a few years ago they did the truck that had that nailhead motor in it which was cool. we live in michigan and they should do an outdoorsman type vehicle. I just hope they lift it and not turn it into a pro-street grocery getter.

Its working! They are talking about all the emails for the Wagoneer on the air when they do the Stone Soup spots.

Keep it up! I'm going to start spreading this around.
