Default WJ's towing

Has anybody bought a WJ that didn't come with the tow package, and then decided that you wanted a hitch put on it? I have checked with the stealership, and the only one they offer, is to cut a hole in your bumper, insert bezel and then hitch. Total cost, 500+. Now, I have checked with a few local shops that install hitches, and they have ones that drop down below the bumper, resulting in a loner piece of steel from the subframe and the bar that goes width wise across the vehical. Total cost.. 230ish. Any pictures that anybody may have of the latter would be appreciated.

PM Jeepmann or TJ Girl. They have a WJ with a hitch on it. I borrowed it to tow the mutt up to the first pig gig I went to.

It did okay, but that is about as far as I would tow with it. The instant MPG thing said 16 the whole trip @65.

Was it a stock tow set up, or was it added aftermarket?

Now if anybody out there in e-wheeler land has the same thing, only with the bar being square instead of round, that would be spanktastic! Hey Jeepmann did you install yourself?
