Cherokee: they are reliable easy to find parts on this site. Stay away from the tahoe they are expensive to repair. at 100000 miles they will drain you pocket book. I have a 98 XJ it carries my family and my beagle everywhere and it is kick ass in the snow. Like today.

i find it funny that everyone says chevys are garbage. considering we live in a state where absolutly no one takes care of their vehicle untill the point it doesn't move, everything is garbage idc who makes it. idk how many vehicles i see that are falling apart and the owners do nothing about it till it's too late and cost a fortune. simple maintence will prevent alot of problems but people don't wanna do it. they think it cost too much to correct a minor leak or broken part then bitch and complain when the dealer tells them it's $1000 + replace a blown engine or whatever. same goes for tires. if i had a dollar for every flat, bald, or destroyed tire i've seen since i moved to this state in august i'd be a few thousand bucks richer. and lastly, when you ask for an opinion there isn't one person in the world that will give you a straight un biased opinion about which is better.

buy whatever suits your pocket book! All of the vehicles your looking at are used, have them checked by a mechanic and keep up on your maintenance, and you should be good! If your open to suggestions why not look at pathfinder's, explorer's, escape, vue? It sounds like you just want a decent 4x4 SUV that is reliable?
