Default Buying steel for bumpers?

I need to fabricate some front and rear bumpers for my 1970 Land Cruiser FJ55. What is the best place to buy channel steel and such? I'm thinking .125" or .1875" (1/8" or 3/16") C-channel for the base, and some other crap to reinforce it and make it look good. Any ideas? Thanks.

Central Iron and steel, (on Alpine in GR) has about 50 7' lengths of 5 inch diameter LW tubing.
They are selling for $30 ea. They would make great air tank bumpers.

You might try Central Iron & Steel (on Alpine in Grand Rapids)
Don't know the number off hand... 616-363-4013 (just got off my ars and looked it up old school way) :) They have scrap and the hours they are open blow but you can walk around the yard and pick through scrap or buy new stuff.
Where are you located?
PM if you have ?'s
