Default How Do I convince my cousin to not Wheel illegally?

Hes a stubborn teenage dumbass and goes out every weekend with his buddies in White lake (usually behind Alpine). Ive told him all sorts of reasons not to do it, shit his friends have even been busted, et he still goes. Im figuring that he will get caught at some point, but would rather get him to quit on his own

Thats funny, I know your cousin... he lives right by me and one of his buddies asked me to go with them this weekend. I'm kinda surprised they didn't all learn there lesson the first time :miff: ... I even warned them not to go back there cuz I have a buddy who talked to the landowner and he said he was goin straight to the police. I've been tryin to get them to just go to the mounds with me but it seems like they're always working or something. We should all go when they open back up.

call the cops on him.... that always works. But other then that the biggest thing i think is to just get them out with you on legal runs and show them what there is. A kid i worked with was running all over when he just got his license. But since we lifted his truck and taken him to the mounds, pig gig and other events he sticks to that and saves his money for upgrades

Dear Off-Road Vehicle User:
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (Department) is
pleased to provide several outdoor recreation opportunities, such as
designated Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) trails and riding areas for your
use and enjoyment.
With many program responsibilities, the Department must balance
its goal of providing designated ORV riding opportunities with its
duty to protect and manage the State’s natural resources. A
recently completed forest certification audit evaluated, among other
items, the use of ORVs on state forest lands. The finding of this
audit was that an unacceptable level of environmental damage is
resulting from illegal ORV use on state owned lands.
This is a serious matter that must be addressed by both the
Department and the ORV community. It is very likely the privilege to
use ORVs on state owned land will diminish if illegal ORV use is not
significantly reduced or eliminated. Please stay on designated ORV
trails/areas. If you see other users damaging the environment,
report them by calling 1-800-292-7800. The ORV community must
step forward and make it clear that illegal ORV use not only hurts
the environment, but harms the reputation of legal users and
threatens the future of legal ORV use in Michigan.
Thank you for your help in this matter. Together, we can make a
difference.

Ive been trying too, but until recently my uncle wouldnt let him takr his jeep on the highway cuz he didnt have a swaybar (whatever that is :tonka:) other times he has to work alot of weekends. However this time he at least said he would go to the mounds if they were open.

It kinda sucks to know that the illegal offroad battlle will never be won because there will always be a new group of teenagers who believe they are above the law

that is very true, all we can do is try and get as many people to wheel legally as we can.

when do they plan to go next? I have no problem sitting outside of where they go, waiting for them, calling the cops, kicking their ass, and then driving home drunk.
