Default bought a new project tonight, guess what it is *PIC*

My dad and I have been talking about restoring a vehicle for a few years now... and since my Jeep has been finished and out of his garage, it is time, hehe.

So this is a suprise to him. We always talked about a Mustang or an F100 with a modern powertrain... but I decided to go another route.

Here is the first teaser pic....

start guessing and I'll post the whole vehicle when someone gets it...

Pretty clean for what I paid for it I think.
front bumperetts (for lack of better word) has light rust, as does the drivers rocker linked below
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ersrocker2.jpg
Drivers floorboard under the seat has been patched too

Fully complete, new tires on the rare stock rims.
Runs and drives, needs a brake master cylinder rebuild and a starter solenoid (have to jump it over the solnoid)

All the pics

What did I win? I hope It has nothing to do with English engineering or wireing harnesses on old English sports cars.

dang i get so jealous on this site i need my own garage so i can have cool projects. What the plan bones .... since you were going to go modern drive train on a mustang for f100 are you gonna go that route on the triumph ?

What would make a good swap? Miata stuff would be cheap, a wrecked honda s2000? it would be super sweet to put in a mazda rotary engine! all the brit roadster snobs would prolly hate you though

i love british and italian roadsters thats looks like a great foundation its not bad rust at all if that was a michigan car. Good find

My dad had a 2 TR3's, one rag top and i think the other was a hard top convertible (i dont remember that one as much) He rebuilt it twice and it wouldnt hold oil pressure still, had to have a british set of tools too. Was a very cool car though good find
