Default so new smart car now on sale. whos buying one?

so yea i seen the news on channel 7 and the smart car now goes on sale and theres almost a year long waiting list. that cars only alittle bigger then my gokart. thinking bout making my go kart fast enough to be road legal...lol

My wife wants one for buzzing around town. There was one at the Metro Cruise, it made my TJ look large :)

I saw one on I-96 the other day. There is no way anyone would live in one of those if a truck hit it.

those things have better crash test ratings and survival then a TJ... plus if you live in a city..not the country they are pretty slick, price isnt bad and great MPG why not. check on you tube for the crash test they did on TV of the smart.. thing gets totaled but you could walk away from it!!

There is actually a video clip here somewhere that someone posted of a smart car hitting a concrete barrier at 65mph iirc. The dummie survived. :tonka:

they are the intro to a new sport...smart soccer!



use off ramps as goals and semi's as field gaurds. if you grind one along the gaurd rails is that Ball hogging?

the one i drove was nice, actually pretty quick. it was a diesel though, figures they dont give us those ones. the roadsters were pretty sweet too. (we dont get those either)

That may be the Top Gear vid - there was no dummy in the car and Jeremy stated that if you were inside during the crash, you would've likely died.
