Hi. I guess I will move this to the pub since I haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about

Are these bumpers for geo metros?

What is this all about?

from the above link, posted yesterday:

"Update 1/28/07:

Well, boy has this been an experience. I'll try to give a quick update and keep it short.

I have been working with the local police, specifically with a trooper who has to probably be the nicest guy I've ever spoken with. It's been amazing how much attention he's given a case such as mine.

It turns out that the guy had some eBay/PayPal claims against him from two other eBay members for whatever reason. Apparently these guys posted disputes on PayPal, won the disputes and PayPal refunded their money using the funds (my money) that were in his account. When he noticed this, he pulled any remaining $ from his account thinking that PayPal was screwing him over. Once my PayPal case was finalized and PayPal tried to refund my money, there was nothing there... so long story short, this guy is probably not the most tech-savvy guy out there. PayPal won't tell me the details of his other claims but my guess is that he felt like he was screwed over by PayPal b/c they "took his money" to pay back these other guys. So to recoup his losses, he would just take my money to make up for that which he lost. Basically my timing was HORRIBLE. He told the police officer that he basically doesn't have the money to reimburse me right now, is going through some rough financial times, etc. etc. The officer told him the only way to keep this from becoming a criminal issue is to manufacturer the bumpers and send them to me. Frankly, I've already bought four more bumpers from another guy because I had to move my projects along however I'll take whatever I can get! That is if, he follows through and sends me the bumpers. If so, I guess I'll have to sell them myself to recoup my losses.... more to come.

If he doesn't send them, it looks like I'll be using my AA frequent flyer miles to fly to Evart, MI for a court trial... I'm really hoping it doesn't come to this. I really have no desire to get this guy in trouble... I just want my money back or at least something to show for it.

This has been a wild ride!"
