yes

It's hard to explain, and the pics I have do not do the UP snow trails justice at all.

It definately is not something that should be taken lightly. Again, its hard to explain, and i have no good pics. But I promise anyone who has been on snoblind or snofari has no clue.

A 6x6 would be death. You would sink to the bottom.

Not so sure what is wrong with sinking to the bottom. last winter I would drive the 6x6 through the mud pits and break the ice so the other trucks wouldn't get stuck in it. Sometimes I would have to back up, but I never had any problems.

Well I won't be able to go this year anyway. it does sound like fun though
I would use the deuce cause it has a winch

We have chest deep powder up here right now.

If I have trouble with my 144" x2" paddle snowmobile then you won't have a chance in a truck.

Another voice of reason with experience.

Wait where's lothos, I bet he can make it, Right after he couldnt make it up the little hill at OSTC in 6-8" of snow.

Couple questions, how do you know how thick the ice was that was under the snow? Did you drill a hole and then measure it?

Also I have seen and been on the trails that apparantly your group had a very difficult time tackling including yourself. You in WAY over your head for what matt is planning, espescially if you feel that you could not get to the fallen tree on impossible.

Sometimes you should learn when not to speak.

Unless you own some kind of ice defying vehicle, I'm sure you wouldn't have made it up any farther.

You're saying 6-8" of snow, but in all reality they have 3-5" of ice covered with 10" of snow.

A stock dodge ram can drive around in 8" of snow... And when we had 14" of snow a couple weeks ago, my WJ drove through my work parking lot without issue.

Notice how he did not say that there was 14" in the (plowed) parking lot when he did this. :tonka:
