I don't think that was Jesus 's event to set up.

No, it wasn't. I offered to race my honda project against CCs GNXj. I sold that honda project to Bio Bill way back when.

Missed the point, though. The MiTTC was designed to be right on top of another event that CC didn't want to succeed, because it wasn't his.

I did...but I messed up and use to say thanks Doug....instead of Steve. For some reason I was thinking his name was Doug in the movie. Been a long time since I seen that movie.

I still think we should set-up a day to go to the drag strip for the hell of it.

yes, talk about a slap inthe face, this is how I felt when you used the info from our private forum to run with setting up an event to take place of the gig as soon as you found out it wouldnt' be at Marvs, and you thought we wouldnt' do it again, yet we clearly stated we would still be doing it. Then as mentioned, the event 1 week prior to the gig...

Read my reply to Jim, we were tryinging to open things up.

Kelly can allow what he wants on this board. My understanding is he told Gman if it wasn't going to be a GL4x4 Top Truck, then don't talk about it on here... Gman dropped it and told Kelly, if you are going to do one, I won't bother, no reason for 2 of these events... not word for word, but somethign like this.

Both Swamp Stomper's and Marv personally, have recieved many inquiries as to an 08 Pig Gig, Marv asked if we could go forward to let people know, instead of answering them 1 at a time, we said go for it, we didnt' realize people would think he was doing it to 'toot his horn', or we would have posted it ourselves, next time we'll check with all the resident ashats on here beofore making 'public announcements'.

thanks for the reply John, my comment was really meant towards Swamp Stompers, but a lot of past members with grudges so to speak.

This is an issue related to organizational management, John. It has nothing to do with asshatedness. Look at what he wrote:

That statement tells me that he is not speaking on behalf of the club and an official announcement is forthcoming. You are saying "we, we, we", but all they are saying is

and so was mine... we approached Jim as the Trailride chair of GLFWDA, mentioned to him that we had some ideas to involve other groups, and this could be GLFWDA, I was told he would get back to me. I made an atempt 2 months later to have a meeting with higher members of GLFWDA/Swamp Stompers, at that time as was told sure but FWI, GLFWDA/GL4X4 will be holdign an event on Sept 5-6 not far from where we hold the gig. I had been told previously that GLFWDA wanted an event like the gig. These 2 things told me they didn't care about the gig or the Swamp Stompers.

I have not said any of this until now, I had every intention on keeping it quiet. it would do no good for anyone. But I'm not going to let us get walked on by the very peopel who ended the possibility of GLFWDA working with Swamp Stompoers on this event, as if we're the ones slapping them in the face.

well, I can tell you from personal talks with Marv, he only wanted to say what part he had control over, that was the gig being held on their land. We rented the land last year, for a very small fee, but it was a rental agreement, Marv felt it had gotten too big and had told us that we needed to start looking for someplace else to hold it, He didn't want to over step that part. We have been wotking to update out gig website, and then release all the info for 08, we're not there yet, but it is happening, I think the date was already announced as Sept 13, but we haven't been very quick on completeing the full site.
