I'm sad to think that will never happen though. I hope some people can look past the past and help with the future.

How can you say the gig did not support the local level?? OH your going back to the OLD arguments? And GLFWDA was going to be repesented by J. Due to the Accident he did not get a chance to let himself be know that he was here.

For the Record.. Marv and I have stayed away from GLFWDA due to personal reasons. WE support what they do as a group and always will. We, Marv and I can not spread ourselves so wide to be a part of everything. There WAS bad blood in the past and we choose to step away so not to cause DRAMA.
and somehow still end up the bad people for it. Why should we have to defend outselves with friends??

On a related note, I heard that Clarkston Cracker will be holding a huge birthday party for himself on, um, whenever Grandman's birthday is.

Marv and Miff, thank you truly for hosting the event so many years and Yogi for starting it up. I missed the last one, but I'm sure SS's were great too.

FWIW, I chose to not attend with just my son last year mainly because of the attitudes of so many people on this forum expressed here. This constant bickering bullshit never seems to end and sadly until it does I'm afraid our sport will continue to suffer greatly.

I am who I am online as I am in person. Those that have hung out with me know this. Yes, I can be quite the dumbass at times on here and in person, but I would never stoop to the level of some of the folks on this forum so often act at. Who are you going to blame when nobody invites you to events anymore and nobody fights to keep the lands open for you to enjoy? Take a look in the mirror sometime when you're spewing diatribes about on this forum and all the rest. And then maybe, just maybe you might mature a little and step back and realize that all of us on here want the same things as you and are fighting as hard as we each individually can to make sure those things happen and can happen. Dissension is the last thing we need in our sport as endangered as it is.

you sir are a big part of the problum with your attitude. I could care less if you ban me from your sight. You sir know of the talks between Marv and yourself where you pulled your power to put your Name on the tuff truck or you would hold one the same weekend. When he dropped the ball on your lap. Nothing happened.

I refuse to drop myself to your level of scarcasum.

I wish you the best in life Kelly.

x2

Its a shame the level of manipulation that people go through to try to usurp things for their own personal attention/glory.

And the silly little people who chime in when they don't know the whole story...

Here is a question. What clubs here on GL support GLFWDA as clubs? I know the SS is getting bashed alot because we do not. My question is how many do. I am trying to get a grasp on things for this year, and I can say, the bullshit posts are not helping me form a good opinion either way.

There are always three sides to the story. Our side, your side, and the truth, somewhere in the middle. I am trying to get to the middle.

Cheap Thrills, and Two Trackers are both supporting clubs.

And i've never came across anybody bashing anybody for not being a member of glfwda. It was just very odd that when numerous people recommended profits from the pig gig going to GLFWDA, but when it was said and done, nothing is going to them, and they are being bypassed because the money is going to a national program that mainly deals with out west issues.

IMO, that is making a point that the swamp stompers want nothing to do with GLFWDA.
But nobody has bashed them because of it.

Cheapthrills has not become official supporting club yet, but it is being worked on and hopefully will be soon

I've had my jeep for 2 yrs now, wanted to get to the pig gig as I have a friend with property in West Branch that I could crash at if it got too crowded....however, my jeep always had other ideas.....

From an outside perspective, kidding is kidding, and I can be sarcastic as hell when I want to as well as take a joke....but there seems to be some serious issues here between some folks. Call it politics or whatever, but the type of crap getting thrown around here is a big reason why I end up dropping out of most clubs I join. I try to be nice to people in person, and online, well- it's easy to be a prick.

Wherever the pig gig is held this year, I'm hoping to be able to go so I can meet some of the people on this board in person. All of ya can't be as bad as ya look here sometimes....
