I didn't make it....just not enough wheelbase or traction on this climb.

made it, had to re-line a few times, but in general no real problems, really wasn't that idffulcult of a line

After the trip to the badlands I have decided I want to extend my wheelbase a hair and add a front locker.

You plan on keeping the backseats in that? Looks like the cage is pretty tall back there. That is one thing I would redo on my cage, have it more people friendly in the back.

The B pillar is actually lower then stock and the back corners are as well, I don't recall by how much.

The goal was two front seats with Xander's Seat centered. No actual wrangler back seat.

Nope, the more I thought it would look cool i started to realize it was a bunch of extra weight, tube, would also look really stupid.

Mike and I both think this cage should be plenty strong to withstand a pretty hard roll. The most it would ever see with Xander in the jeep would be a gentle flop....so I think it's sufficient.

yeah, at least he way it is now he'll fit in the spot made for him until he is old enough to move to the front seat

If I even keep the jeep or that particular cage that long.

The cage is mostly welded up, front seats are in, Gotta do frame tie ins and Xanders seat mount. Pull it out, finish welding, paint it and reinstall.
Pictures in no particular order and from a million more angles then anyone cares to see :alumcj:

Plate is welded to the floor and tapped. It's 1/4" plate. The top plate is 3/16 and makes a nice mount and the cage is still easily removed

Xander is not going to be able to see out the front too well this year, but I really don't want to bring his seat up any higher at this point...its not hard mounted yet, so we'll see if I chance my mind.

Before the mindsheild bars that Xjeeper told me I had to add...he was right, looks way better with the bars.

I was looking at your cage yesterday, I think our backseat head room is pretty similar. I'd be interested to throw em side by side and compare
