Default trailer advice

anyone seen our purchase a trailer from harbor freight? i was thinking off picking one up cause it is cheap, but i want it to make it to colorado and back. I would be hauling my nightster on it.

just put one together for a buddy. his wife got him a foldable one for christmas. Not too bad for what they are and what he's going to do with it. (tow w/ a car around town) They bolt together and are pretty lightweight. 1500 lb max and not over 45-50 mph.

Weld it together, put a beefier axle under it and it would be a 1/2 way decent trailer.

if your not in a hurry, keep an eye on Craigslist .. I bought the same trailer w/ a pressure treated wood deck used for $125. I drove it to-from GR to NJ twice no problem - and I did not keep it under 50mph (should I have, humm... probaby).

I bought one of those bolt together 4x8 foot foldable trailers 4 years ago (not from harbor freight) used to tow my snowmobile on it. great little trailer. have done 70 with it plenty of times with no issues but I have the 12" rim version not the smaller 8". now I just use the trailer for misc hauling since I sold my sled

First learn how to spell "trailor advise" before you ask for trailer advice!

i have towed a hf trailer for a friend several times with no trouble. It was never taken on any real long trips though. Just local stuff with his bike on it.

They have a version with the bigger wheels, I imagine that would tow better at highway speeds.

The mini tires on the others don't take kindly to high speed, high heat situations.

Could probably bolt better wheels/tires on the smaller ones and grease the snot out of the bearings and be ok.
