thats awesome. I rode pontiac trail hard one day and ended up in the Er, because I was going downhill too fast on the last drop and missed the turn and went over the side of that cliff. We measured it at 21 feet that I dropped. I tried to land it but the bike i was on didnt agree

they said my helmet was what saved my life, and it was smashed from hitting a rock

Honest. There's quite a few sections out there - the biggest one is constructed over a fallen oak. Burchfield can be serious fun if you're in a group of willing idiots.

Agreed. Those are some big booters. Good riders.

SonicJay and I were just down there yesterday in a ride some guys from the MMBA put together. It's a friggin' blast. I wish I was there again today instead of working.

Seriously. Those ladder gap jumps are what makes my jaw drop. I could probably talk myself into hitting the dirt jumps, but those ladder gaps are insane.

Haha wow the only reason this is semi funny is because I did something similar there too. Took a turn too fast, on the soft sand/dirtish banked turn and the bike washed out from underneath me and I rolled down a hill. I got lucky it wasn't the drop off. A nice tree broke my roll. I kinda limped home after that. Glad to hear you're okay though. I went to Pontiac lake state park my first time ever out mountain biking...Apparently they say it's not somewhere a beginner should start. :miff:

I took my Kona hardtail with a Marz DJ1 fork that I use for urban/freeride. I swapped out my knobby tires for Maxxis Holy Rollers... it was perfect.

Damn, I want to be back there hitting the DJ lines again. It's so much fun. Some kids on 20 inchers were getting CRAZY air into the foam pit. Blew my mind.
