good lord, whats the deal up there? are the administrators getting soft in their old age? 3 snow days in one year? crike, they're usually lucky to get three snow days in a decade up there.

Actually, from what I was told, remember last year when it was really icy out and they neglected to salt campus (there were a few, but there was one really shitty day)?? Well I guess more than a few people broke limbs and:

"that made the administration re-evaluate their cancellation policy." (directly from a prof.)

That probably meant one or more of the people that slipped and fell probably sued the university - now they cancel as opposed to handing out free tuition.....

Personally I'd rather have class - especially when it's a Monday. The roads were somewhat Icy this morning, but they were no where near bad even with my un-siped MT's, let alone eneough to cancel class

High Rise- I dang near got stuck around that corner myself because I slid on that wet heavy nasty snow down to the bottom of the banked corner...had to giver' the berries to stay movin!! Also did you know the kid who owned the truck??

Im in Heavy Equipment myself...its a good program with lots of opportunities. As far as wheelin goes the lines is about it unless you want to drive north or further west. Oh and be prepared to break stuff too...I happens to all of us...especially at the worst times!!! Ohh and Heavy Equipment has a reputation around campus too...Crazy Redneck Hillbillys with lifted vehicles who drink lotsa beer and chew like its goin out of style...hopefully you will fit in.

no i didnt know the kid that was stuck out there i new some of his buddies.

But all these hill billys with the lifted trucks dont know how to wheel at all it seems like? my jeep can i can make it more places than any of the rigs up here which is nice because the kid that i came to pull out this evening gave me 20 bucks! even with 2 trucks hooked up to his they couldnt even pull him out. so if you need a pull call me up im pretty much the only one able to drive out to the lines and pull people out of the snow because i can hook my jeep up to a tree and use my winch to pull them out! JEEPS ALL THE WAY!!!!!

I normally dont go out there during the winter months due to bad passed experiences (Right XJToivo?) but thanks for the offer and if I do run into a situation I will give you a shout.

As for that kid...well I made it known that before I even went out there that I was going to need gas money (broke college kid) and he said ok...so after all of the beating I did on my jeep (the Blazer that was hooked to my front was basically there to get me moving and nothing else because there was about 2+ feet of slack in the strap when we were going down the trail which means I was doing all of the work.) we got to the gas station and were shootin the breeze and he asked how much gas I used, which was over a half tank between driving out there, pulling that big turd around in the woods with my jeep just a screemin', and driving to that gas station, he has the balls to say "Is $10 straight?" I said umm...no...Im gunna need a little bit more than that...He wound up by giving me $30 which was cool.

I never did catch the story about how he blew his clutch out inthat truck either...did you?
