Default front axle from a 2000 wrangler on a yj?

does anyone know how hard it would be to put a dana 30 from a 2000 wrangler on my 94 yj? i've got a chance to get a built one and wanted to know if it's worth it. Also what do you think the dana should be worth. its got an air locker, large axles and its gusseted. thanks

The shafts are an upgrade as they should have the larger u joints then most yj's (some yj's did have the larger ujoints, but its rare).

The YJ is high pinion, the TJ is low pinion, advantage yj.

I think most dana 30's are worth $100-200 However this one has been re-geared, locked etc. How much do you want to spend on it? Are you going to stay small enough with your tires that the 30 is going to hold up? If so, are you going to own it long enough to justify the purchase?

If you want to swap the entire axle you will have to remove the suspension brackets and fabricate spring perches for your leaf sprung yj, otherwise it really shouldnt be too difficult, but unless you are getting a great deal its a lot of work.
