Default Wish I had a camera. Monster tires. No room for flex.

I saw the stupidest looking rig yesterday on my way in to work. I believe that it was a Nissan Pathfinder, not sure, as I was masmerized by its tires. Had some nice looking bushwacker fender flares and the hugest mud tires, I think X-Terrains. And it was practically rubbing just sitting at the stoplight...front AND rear rubbing. Some people...:miff:

That dude couldn't have hit a pebble, much less a speed bump, without rubbing.

There's an older Dakota running around like that up in Houghton. No lift, just whacked the hell out of the fenders until big tires (maybe 35's? i was behind him at Hardees and couldn't see that great) fit.

I am guessing that the tires were at least 36" tall and 12.5" wide. They were actually tucked up into the fender flares...don't remember seeing ANY wheel well. He was in the left turn lane and I really wish I'd seen him turn. I don't see how the tires could have cleared the fender flares on a turn.

It is possible that he had an air ride suspension...but still...he'd have to activate it on every turn just so he wouldn't mangle those flares.

I towed an older silverado earlier today that had probably 33 or maybe 35X12.50's under it. They really stuck out not sure how he turned it. It had a broken tie rod, wierd.
