I ride too! But not in the winter. Aslo, at the cost of my bikes, it's hard to justify thier use for strictly gas ecomony.

In all honesty! If all I had to go was 8 miles to work, I would pedal my Mnt Bike 6-7 months per year.

There are loads of vehicles out there that are "low maint" in that price range. Obvioulsly you din't serach that out.

I had gas on my shoes and on my nice suit pants. It was horrible.
So... from now on mschaffer pumps my gas every Sunday. He almost always does it, but he will get no breaks from now on :tonka:

I think my xj gets terrible gas mileage but getting it for as cheap as I did, and having no car payment or full coverage insurance makes up for it.
KA, I often wonder what I did wrong in life to miss out on the oportunity to have a quality girl like you. When MsChaffer is done with you please let me know. I am pretty sure I'm a proper suiter for you

IE: $2.99 in the morning, $3.29 in the afternoon.

That was me when I owned my 1996 F150. After three years of commuting 35 miles per day (at 16 mpg), I said wtf, and bought a 2002 Z24. Bingo: 30 mpg. Disclaimer: I really miss my 1985 Escort diesel...54mpg. I would buy one tank a month.

Yep, I with ya bro. I fill up 1.5 times a month. Unless I gotta check on my dad who live in Tecumseh. That kills the 'fixed income' budget.

Oh...No. There's too much junk parked in the streets in our 'hood already. I love my neighbors who have four friggin' pickups all parked in the street.

Well I agree on one of your three sentences.
HsckFarbication - have we met? I like you!

Yea, gas was less than $1.50/gal back then, too. :tonka: Man, those $10 fill-ups were nice. Oh well, filling the tank costs ~$35 and lasts a week.

Enjoy the Prism. My friend had one. Tough little car. We got rear ended by a Chevy Beretta while stopped at the Eureka and Pardee light. I was sitting in the back seat and didn't get hurt. Freaky.

So, now that you see the light on saving money at the pump who soon 'til you start realizing how much you'd save by lowering your cigarette and alcohol consumption? :tonka:

the only real answer for alternative fuel is to turn lies and empty political promises into useable energy.

stop and think how powerful the oil industry is. soooooo powerful, but that power falls just short of getting around the tree huggers to build new refineries and whatnot.

government should probably not try to fix oil prices. they should keep trying to tell us who we can marry, what rape victim can't have an abortion, and continue the insurance abuse in the health care industry.

Most of our oil/ petroleum importing (from an individual country) is from Canada...

Saudi Arabia and Mexico follow
