On a run today and a tree was on the side of the trail pointed towards you and one of the guys got too close to it and it went through the front and then the fender then the firewall then the dash then cut up his leg and into his gut. If it was a few inches more it might have been fatal. We had to get him to a main road where a ambulance came and took him. Should be ok they said.

Brand new JK may be a write-off

Lesson is anything can happen in the middle of no-where..

x2.

and it doesnt take nearly as much speed as you all would think.

there is a lot of force behind a 4-5,000 lb jeep driving into a log that is not moving for whatever reason. even at 5-10 mph it can happen very quickly.

Insurance companies won't fix things like that. So a brand new tub at dealership prices and plus labor to replace it could easily get pretty expensive.

I am sure there is other stuff that will need to be replaced too.
