ok soo... after a very bad trip to the mounds and an engine later my truck runs but..

its weird.. hopefully somebody can help me out

i got the donor motor to start up.. it idle's great actually.. it sounds good, no real noise, no smoke.. it seems to rev up good from what i know.. i did install the motor my self.. direct replacement of my original stock 5.9... cept i added accel coil, wires, cap rotor.. and hedders... so heres the problem

if i sit there and rev it up a couple times( not even to high it will conk out)

if i put it in gear and try to drive ( it will conk it out )

other than that it seems to idle for as long as i let her idle...

at one point ( this is a used motor already broken in) i held the brake to see if it would spin the tires (very smooth cement in the shop it should be easy) it did do that but a 2nd later conked out

HELP!

check the asd relay.. it would kill it. it turns off the fuel pump. but it sounds like yo uhave enought fuel pressure to run it at idle, btu when you rev it up you run out. might do a flow test and a pressure test on the fuel.

I told you Accel coils had a very high failure rate

Yours was bad out of the box!

Should've just returned it and got an MSD
