Default I finally figured out the main difference between Catholics and Protestants

I will caution you, this is deep. Ok, if you have been to a Catholic service, you know that when they serve communion, it is the crappy wafers and the real deal wine. On an opposing scale, if you have ever been to a Protestant service when they serve communion, they usually have really good break, but crappy fake wine (juice).

Therfore, I have a unification proposal: We meet in the middle and serve both good bread and good wine. We will combine the best of both. Then we can remove the differences we have and all have a good time. Thoughts? I think it is going to be revolutionary.

There are significant doctrinal differences between Catholics and Protestants. But, let's take Paul's advice and focus on what unites us (God) and not some of the doctrinal junk that really has nothing to do with a personal relationship with Christ, which is the essence of Christianity.

Jesus asked "who do you say I am" .. That's what the entire bible comes down to. He is the son of God, the God-man, who was sent to reconcile us to God the father.

If you honestly believe that then you have life eternal with Christ. If you accept Christ then do what he asked - love God and love your neighbor.

I'm not a big fan of wine, But, Unification would be nice. One time in Youth group we used Mountain Dew and Potato Chips for Communion. We also had the mountain due in a Lord of the Rings Glow up Goblet (from Burger King) It was fun.

Communion is about the Symbolism of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, not what we use. That's how I was brought up.

Funny side story.....My mom would make the Bread for Communion every once in a while. One day she finished it and put it in a bag on the Stove. She went to take a shower and when she came out it was gone. Then she saw the Bag on the floor. She followed the crumbs and it led straight to our Beagle. That Dog would eat anything But bread was his favorite. He ate the whole thing. We thought about putting Grape juice in his water dish, just for fun.
